KNEC has directed that individual candidates will not receive the certificates directly. Instead, the documents will be distributed through the respective colleges, which are required to coordinate with the council to facilitate collection.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released certificates for candidates who sat Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) examinations in March, July, and November 2024

The certificates, covering both Business and Technical streams, are now ready for collection at New Mithani House in Nairobi.

KNEC has directed that individual candidates will not receive the certificates directly. Instead, the documents will be distributed through the respective colleges, which are required to coordinate with the council to facilitate collection.

The examination body urged heads of institutions to carefully follow the procedures when handling any issues related to the certificates.

“All queries related to the certificates must be submitted in writing through heads of institutions,” KNEC stated. Candidates and institutions can also raise concerns online through the Query Management Information System (QMIS) portal at https://qmis.knec.ac.ke/externalLogin. The council emphasized that all queries must be submitted within 60 days from the date of release, warning that submissions after June 30, 2026, will incur a fee of Sh5,000.

To support any certificate-related query, candidates are required to provide copies of all module result slips and a copy of the certificate dispatch checklist. KNEC stressed that these timelines are firm and are intended to ensure efficient handling of certificate corrections and verifications.

Institutions are encouraged to share this information promptly with candidates to prevent delays or additional costs.

TVET programmes are critical in equipping learners with practical and technical skills that match the demands of the job market. The release of these certificates will enable graduates to access employment opportunities, enroll in further training, or meet professional and regulatory requirements across various sectors.

KNEC congratulated all candidates who completed the examinations, noting that “the certification marks an important milestone in their academic and professional journey.” The council also reiterated its commitment to improving efficiency and transparency in examination management through digital platforms like QMIS, which allows institutions to submit and track queries online.

As the national body responsible for examinations across multiple education levels in Kenya, including TVET programmes, KNEC regularly reminds institutions and candidates to adhere strictly to set procedures and timelines to ensure smooth delivery of services.
